TEDx talk on 'Network Thinking'. How do networks really work? YouTube video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fq44gFuFi2kWe spend time thinking about 'social networks', and happily attend 'networking' events. And when we look at networks from a more academic perspective, we explore social graphs, mapping the connections between nodes. And yet, there is much more to networks. This talk makes a distinction between network infrastructure and network flows - the traffic that passes through a network. the talk describes several types of nodes that exist in networks, such as repeaters. The talk ends with a discussion on end goals. The premise is that the network can be activated by an end goal, and that, with a better understanding of networks, we can achieve our end goals faster and with less effort.
