centimeters in warmer areas. Average is above 0 C. Warmest is around 20 C.

LOCATION (LATITUDE) Located mid-latitude; between 23.5 degrees

and 55 degrees North and South.

VEGETATION (PLANTS & TREES) Beeches can reach up to 40 mt tall and have

HUMAN IMPACT Humans negatively impact on the

biogeochemical cycles in the ecosystem, and the nitrogen cycle and the phosphorous cycle.

NET PRIMARY PRODUCTION Temperate Evergreen Forest 1300 gC/m2/yr Temperate Deciduous Forest 1200 gC/m²/yr

CULTURE Warm all year long, close to the equator. Almost made of two types of trees, deciduous

and evergreen.

LIMITING FACTORS Human Factor Building of mountain and forest communities

as a result of urban sprawl. Allelopathy Certain plants' ability to affect the soil acidity
