TEST ANXIETY

A hundred cartloads of anxiety will not pay an ounce of debt.

-Italian proverb

Before the test:Be prepared!

Learn the material thoroughly!

Be confident!

Get a good night’s sleep!

You need at least four hours of sleep a night to function. College finals are designed to make you think. If you are sleep deprived, you won't be able to comprehend (or answer) the challenging questions you will face.

Don’t go to an exam on an empty stomach!

Fresh fruits and vegetables are often recommended to

reduce stress.

Get to the exam early!

Take the 5 minutes before the exam starts to relax. Don’t try to cram at this point- just try to get

focused.

During the test:

•Read the directions carefully.

•Budget your test taking time.

•If you go blank, skip the question and go on.

•Stay calm throughout the

exam.

•If allowed, ask questions!

•Stay for the entire session.

Study your favorite subject last and the one you dread first.

Anxiety is the rust of life, destroying its

brightness and weakening its

power. -Tyron Edwards

Remember to RELAX!
