Up On The Roof
By Simon Moore and Jane Prowse D
irected by Peter Rowe
For anyone who has ever d
reamed...
Up On The Roof is a poignant and affe
ctionate m
usical comedy which
celebrates the endurin
g power of fr
iendship.
It is 1975 and five students at H
ull Unive
rsity are up on the ro
of of their
student digs for th
e last meetin
g of ‘The Roof C
lub’ - their
a capella
singing group who perform
doo-wop covers. In
between the songs th
ey
reveal their h
opes, dreams and aspiratio
ns for the liv
es they are about
to embark upon. The next ten ye
ars sees how their i
ndividual journeys,
successes and failures, are re
flected in the changing re
lationships with
in
this tight k
nit group of fr
iends.
Whatever the tensions with
in the group, th
ey disappear whenever
they sing - and th
ey always sing, any time, any place, anywhere, fr

Bohemian Rhapsody, What B

Say Goodbye, I’m Not In
