Purpose

• To Develop academic and educational cooperation on the basis of equality and reciprocity

Scope of Activities• Research• case study development• academic exchange of students and faculty,

academic materials, publication, professional internships, and technical cooperation.

Mission• To build linkages among African business

schools focusing on teaching and research in the areas of entrepreneurship, small business management, innovation, and start-ups.

• Also, to invite collaboration between African and Western institutions in the academic study and teaching of entrepreneurship, particularly in Africa.

Proposed activities 1 • Develop a structure and governance system for the

consortium.• Annual general meetings for leadership and research. • Periodic meetings regarding specific research proposals

or research interests. • Student exchange.• Faculty exchange.• Joint degree programming.• Collaborative research.

European and North American universities. • Exchange of incubated start-ups.• Develop a pool of trained mentors within

Africa. • Generate case studies on entrepreneurial

firms and small businesses within Africa.

• Consortium partnership with a private firm or angel or venture capital network.
