• There are three “Climate Zones”:– Hot zone– Temperate zone– Cold zone

HOT CLIMATES• The hot zone is between the Tropic of Cancer and

the Tropic of Capricorn• The Temperatures are generally high• The annual range of temperatures is very small

• The main climates in the hot zone are:– Equatorial– Tropical Humid– Tropical Dry– Hot Deserts

TEMPERATE CLIMATES

• The two Temperate Zones are between the Tropics and the Polar Circles

• The anual range of temperatures increases: They are seasonal climates

• The four main climates are:– Oceanic Climate– Mediterranean Climate– Continental Climate– Chinese Climate

COLD CLIMATES

• The cold zones are between the polar circles and the poles.

• The Climate of this zone is:– Polar Climate

• Another Cold Climate is:– Mountain Climate– Also called “Alpine Climate”
