Pastor Mark Schwarzbauer PhDFamily Worship Center

Genesis 6:5-8 5 Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. 6 And the LORD was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. 7 So the LORD said, “I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them.” 8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.

Part Three: The Faithfulness

of God

Part Four: The

Unfaithfulness of Noah

The Unfaithfulness of Noah• Noah found grace, but Noah was not

sinless. He messed up too!• Drinking and cursing of Hamm Gen.

9:20-28.• People blame Hamm… but it was Noah

who got drunk.• Notice with all the amazing things God

said about Noah before this incident, in Genesis there was no praise for Noah afterwards.

The Unfaithfulness of Noah• Noah saved his family in the ark and

wrecked his family with alcohol.• Lesson: Don’t let alcohol destroy your

legacy and wreck life for future generations.

• Bible is so truthful it doesn’t gloss over the faults and sins of its characters.

• We can learn from both his faithfulness and his mistakes.
