VTEC regularly performs Research Testing; also known as Custom Testing; which helps a client identify the performance characteristics of their material under specific testing conditions. The resulting data is very useful to the client's material research and development endeavors.

VTEC also offers Specialized Research to clients; VTEC works directly with clients to identify their needs, research possible solutions, and to test those possible solutions. The diversity of the research ranges, for example, from the chemistry of intumescent materials, to details of floor sections for thermal loading, to even performing specific market studies.
