The Golden Chariot Train is the outcome of the MOU signed between the The Ministry of Railways and the KSTDC- Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation. This royal train of southern India was flagged off at the Yeshwanthpur station of Bangalore city on the 10th of March, 2008

It completes two years of it's successful running, this year in March. Till date the Golden Chariot has embarked upon several royal voyages, all through the Karnataka state’s heritage sites along with The Bandipur National Park, Nagarhole and Goa.
