Industrialization begins in England
1. Agricultural Revolution
• Mass food production • Created large population
(labor)• New inventions
2. Natural Resources• Rich in coal, iron, livestock (sheep =
wool), timber, rivers, land• Rivers can transport goods and
provide energy
3. Political Stability• The government works and is
effective•No more revolutions
• Government supports industrialization by passing pro-industrial laws
4. Capital ($)• Having the money to invest in
business and inventions• Britain is one of the wealthiest
countries
5. Entrepreneurs• People who invest or create
businesses or products• Help create or support inventions
and ideas
6. Labor (workers)• England has a large population• People = workers • Farmers move to towns/cities for

• The ability to make your own economic decisions without the government getting involved all the time.
