II. Metadata information

III. Data preview

IV. Data access and/or download

V. Access to restricted data

VI. Communication with interested users

I. Search Engine

II. Map Viewer

III. Metadata catalogue

VI. Publishing/upload tool

Conceptual model – tools/modules selected

Support the definition on what is a priority and what is not: Geodatabase, geographic data, tabular data

MED Platform modules

According to the data received from the community! e.g. pilot sites of Biodiversity community

VI. Publishing/upload tool

Tools versus Software solutions • How good is a certain software solution at providing certain

functionality?

• What offers the highest degree and quality of integration achieved among the selected software solutions to provide a coherent user experience?

• How complex are the configuration, integration and

customization, to match budget available and project deadlines?

MED Platform metadata concept

• Spatial data requirements?

• Interreg MED requirements?

• Other projects’ requirements (e.g. BluetourMED)?

• Where is the compromise?

Metadata: set of elements that describe a resource Metadata schema: define fields and structure of the resource information e.g. ISO 19115/19139 Metadata keywords: free text or established by a controlled vocabulary (thesaurus) e.g. GEMET, KEEP

Software Storage Creation Import Export CKAN (with plugins) Own schema

supporting DCAT-AP 1.1 and the most relevant fields from ISO 19139 XML
