Engineering Design
• The engineering design process consist of problem solving, research, development and invention/innvotion. During this process you as the student will create a robot from scratch.
Standard 1.1
• 1. Identify the problem• 2.Research the problem• 3.Develop solutions for your problem• 4.Select the best solution• 5.Create/ build a prototype• 6.Test and evaluate the robot.• 7. Communicate the solution of the robot.• 8.Redesign the robot
Identify the problem
• The problem of our robot is to find the design schematics to build it. Find the program and design.
Research the problem
• We went on the internet and found the program and schematics for the robot.
• Jkbrickworks.com• Youtube.com
Develop the solutions Brainstorm collaboration
• Most useless robot• Tank bot
Select the best solution
• We decided as a group to make the most useless machine.
Construct a prototype
First prototype
Test and evaluate
• The robot does work. The robot is to hit the switch when you move it.
Modified robot and program
Modified second robot
Step 7 YouTube link
redesign
• There is no redesign of the robot.
