Provincial Updates
Provincial UpdatesAdditional workplaces allowed to reopen
• permitted to open or expand their services on Tuesday, May 19, 2020
as long as the general trend on health indicators continues to improve
o retailers,
o seasonal businesses, and
o health and community service providers

Provincial UpdatesThe province extended the Declaration of
Emergency until June 2
• allows Ontario government to continue to enforce current
emergency orders,
o restricting retirement and long-term care home employees from
working in more than one facility
o prohibiting events and gatherings of more than five people
• It is important to remember with the reopening of the
province it is important to mindful and continue to
practice public health social measures
Provincial UpdatesGuidance Documents
• The province has added up to 90 sector-specific guidance documents and posters for workplaces to use as they plan to reopen. The guidelines include information on how to resume safe operations that follow important public health measures

Provincial UpdatesPersonal protective equipment for businesses• The Ontario government has launched a website to provide business
owners with information on personal protective equipment (PPE) suppliers
• The Workplace PPE Supplier Directory has an up-to-date list of Ontario companies and business associations that are ready to supply personal protective equipment.
