description

A defective documentation of how others experience and remember such an abstract place as the sea. From Hungary, the country which has no sea, I try, through the recorded thoughts of several different people from various countries, to survey the sea through Google Maps in an attempt to find the fragments to which these people first relate to when asked about the sea.

The sea in different languages

An exploration of the impossibility of verbalizing the meaning of an abstract place, a defective documentation of how others experience and remember. The sea as something much closer to a feeling than to a concrete or definable site that leads us to juxtapose vague words and open thoughts in an attempt to grasp our full experience of it. A process of coming closer to the several ways in which we archive memories and express them in a more connotative or denotative way in order to portray the fictional realities of our experiences.
