The two types of tundra are Alpine and Arctic Tundra.

The Arctic Tundra is a vast, treeless area of low, swampy plains in the far North by the Arctic Ocean.

The Arctic Tundra covers Europe, Asia, North America, and most of Greenland.

Alpine Tundra is Tundra that is treeless of high elevation rather than high latitude.

Permafrost is permanently frozen soil, subsoil, or other deposit, characteristic of arctic and some sub arctic regions; similar conditions are also found at very high altitudes in mountain regions.

3 animals that live in the Arctic Tundra are polar bears, Arctic Foxes, and caribou.
