Statistics of Residents in Northern Ireland

40% of usual residents had a British only national identity

25% had Irish only national identity

21% had Northern Irish only national identity

84,300 Migrants lived in Northern Ireland (April 2011)

Northern IrelandPortuguese, Polish, Lithuanian &

other East European nationals; also some migrants from Brazil.

Almost half (48%) of migrant workers were Portuguese and (38%) were

Eastern European.In 2007 the percentage of births to

mothers born outside the UK and Ireland was18% in Dungannon LGD.
