What a trade flying from start to finish, overall average of £72.21, and to a top of £95 from I & S Parsons of
Minster, several other pens in the nineties.
379 FAT LAMBS
A very strong trade across the board and a lot more could have been sold, overall average of 211.8ppkilo. Top
per kilo being 230p for a pen of 42kgs, £96.50, from Ken and Pat Bird of Crackington Haven, followed by Ray
Martin of Laneast who realised 225p, for his 46kgs £104. Top per head on the day was £105.50 for a pen of
48.8kgs from John Hooper, Crackington Haven.

Good entry again with a strong trade, top on the day was £78.50 for four pens from Rundle Weldhen,
Trekenning.
609 BREEDING EWES
Good Entry met a flying trade and a total clearance, nine pens realising £160 for four vendors, Steve Cornelius
of Trevenn for three pens of Texel x 2T, Martin and Dudley Harris of Mount, Bodmin, Mr Richard Wilcocks of
Tredethy for two pens of Mule 2T and Richard Grigg, Treneglos, for his three pens of Texel x Mule. A flock
dispersal from Messrs Brenton Bros of Bodbrane met much interest with their Texel x 4T selling to £145, and
Texel x 6T to £120. Their 1st three pens of Mule 4T sold to £132. Tony England had a run of Mule 2T on offer
which topped at £148.

A cracking day at Hallworthy with 265 Cattle through the ring. A hot humid day with a hot trade
to match. Top spot going to a super Aberdeen Angus Steer from Messrs Kemp of St Meryn
topping out at £1255. The Uglow Family of Tredarrup with their usual run of quality animals ran
in close with some real fleshy and deep bodied Cattle, their top a pen of four Limousin Steers to
£1155, a pen of three British Blue to £1150, next a pen of three British Blue to £1120 and
another pen of five British Blue x to £1100. His best pen of four Aberdeen Angus, Name Sire to
£1085. Topping out at £1155, Mr Viggers of Milton Abbott with a single deep Charolais Steer,
and his Limousin x Steer to £1075, and a pair of Limousins to £1065. Natives from Mr Jope of
Liskeard saw his first strong pair of quality deep fleshy steers to £1135, another pair topping
out at £1055, and a single to £1030. J B Facey of St Wenn saw their first pen of Hereford x to
£1060 and a second pen at £1025.
Heifers
Not so many Heifers around but a good trade again, with Mr Kemp taking the honours with a
single Aberdeen Angus to £1115. Mr Viggers running in close with a single Limousin x to £1055.
F C Chapman of Truro saw his lead Heifer to £985, a deep stretchy Limousin x Heifer. Rick
Cobbledick saw his best pen of British Blue x Heifers away at £945.
BREEDERS
An Aberdeen Angus Bull from Mr Ovens of Camelford topped out at £1560, plenty of scope and
growth about him. A small dispersal of Cows and Calves from Ben & Jess Collings saw their
best, a pedigree Aberdeen Angus Cow with Limousin Calf to £1320 and other Aberdeen Angus
Cows with Limousin Calves to £1200 and £1180. Mr R Haddy of Boscastle saw his front end of a
small reduction sale of North Devons to a top of £950 also £880 and £860, all with younger
Devon Calves at foot.
