School Preview & Readiness Program
Gymnastics
This term K-6 students have enjoyed their weekly Gymnastics and Circus lessons with instructors Ben and
Grace from ‘Little Champions Gymnastics & Circus Coaching’ in Wagga. All
of the students have improved their balance and co-ordination skills and
movement sequences each week. The Gymnastics program has been a fun
and engaging component of our Physical Education lessons this term.
2/3/4 History
Year 2/3/4 students are very proud of the First Fleet Ships
that they built for their STEM History project this term. The
students designed and built their ships at home and then
presented their project to the class, including an explanation
of how their ship was made and why they chose the specific
materials they used in their design. Students were also
encouraged to reflect on their
design and the process. Next
term we will be testing the
ships to see how well they can
float! Mrs. Crain was very
impressed with the effort that
the students put in to their
designs, as well as the level of
creativity shown by all
students.

5/6 Virtual Classroom—Korea
This year the 5/6 class are participating in a project with The University of New England Asia ConneXions
Departments and the Busan Daechung Elementary School, Busan City, South Korea. The project runs
over the year and 8 Virtual Classroom (VC) sessions. In these sessions the children are going to teach
the South Korean students about their life and schooling in Australia and the South Korean students will
do the same. On the 5th of June we had our first VC session and introduced our school and our students
to Busan. It was a lot of fun! Our last VC was on the 19th of June and focused on music.
