STATE TIMES NEWSRAMBAN: District Development Commissioner, Showkat AijazBhat, on Wednesday finalised the District Rural Road Plan(DRRP) prepared by the District Planning Committee fordevelopment of the district. CPO Uttam Singh, ExecutiveEngineer PMGSY Gian Singh, Executive Engineer REWD.Dayal, AEEs, JEs besides other officials attended the meet-ing. DDC said that the District Rural Road Plan has tremendousbearing on the all round socio-economic development of the dis-trict. The plan has been prepared after appropriate verificationof Block Rural Roads Plans and scrutinised by the DistrictPlanning Committee. DDC said that Pradhan Mantri GramSadak Yojana (PMGSY) seeks to provide Road connectivitythrough good All-weather roads to all rural habitations. UnderPMGSY, the primary focus will be on providing connectivity tounconnected habitations in the district, he added.

The concerned engineers were directed to ensure submission ofDPRs of desired projects within timelines.
