Albert’s birthday. When Grandma Z roars into town on her
motorcycle, Albert is swept up in a very extraordinary
adventure.
Peggy was able to follow the sunflower and find her way home. In this activity, you can create your own
colourful sunflower seed patterns.
MAKE: SEEDY, CRAFTY FUN

YOU WILL NEED: Paint, cardboard, scissors, glue,
paper towel, water, paper, and sunflower seeds.

STEP 1: Cut cardboard into a circle shape.
STEP 2: Use finger or brush to smear glue on
cardboard. Then sprinkle seeds onto wet glue.
Let dry.
STEP 3: Lay out paper to protect bench. Place
dry seed pattern, paint, water tub, and paper
towel on the paper.
STEP 4: Use finger or paint brush to paint the
seeds and cardboard. Let dry.
STEP 5: Admire your colourful creation!
Create your own artwork inspired by Grandma Z using potatoes! Requires adult supervision and assistance.
MAKE: PRINTED POTATO PEOPLE
HOLIDAY FUN FOR KIDS!
YOU WILL NEED: Paint, paper, potatoes, knife,
chopping board, skewer.
STEP 1: Cut the potato into shapes, such as a
square, triangle, circle, oval, diamond, etc.
STEP 2: Use a skewer to add patterns to the
potato.
STEP 3: Dip potato shapes into paint and
press onto paper in desired pattern. Set aside
until dry.
STEP 4: Add any extra details with textas or
crayons. STEP 5: How did you printed potato people
turn out?
