The web preview is corrupt, but click 'get file' - the document itself is fine. This A5 Word Bank Dictionary booklet for P1-P3 Hong Kong children includes 15 pages of lexical sets, a four page verb table and an A-Z.Examples are given for each subject (colours, weather, food, animals, transport, shapes, clothes, the body, places etc...) with room for the children to add their own. It's best adapted towards your own readers/curriculum, particularly the example words in the A-Z section. It's saved as A4 but should be printed as an A5 booklet (similar to this: http://tinyurl.com/lsx8yc). Most school photocopiers will be able to collate it automatically or you can have it done professionally. The hope, in our school, is that it will empower students towards language independence, reinforce spelling, phonics etc… and prepare them for using full dictionaries. Used as a tool and a resource, with proper training, it should also help cut down on “how to spell ___?” questions!
