PART 1

Historic School #59 and A Project Base Section 8 Controversy

Throughout the United States, there are many housing developments, like Alcott Place Apartments, that receive federal assistance. Many of these buildings have poor building conditions, are not well maintained, ventilated, and are not rehabilitated, designed, and constructed according to state and federal building standards. Oftentimes, Public Housing Authorities ignore INACCESSIBILITY, building code violations, and fail to inspect FEDERALLY ASSISTED BUILDINGS to resolve poor housing quality standards and code compliance issues.
