Two day course. This course introduces the
fundamental steps for organisations to transition to
Agile in a meaningful manner, adopting whatever agile
methodology best fits their needs along the way. For
some, this might mean Scrum and for others, it may
mean Kanban or even a combination of two or more
methdologies.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
1. Learn the underlying principles that guide Agile
environments;
2. Learn how to overcome the resistance that inevitably
comes with change;
3. Identify which roles will change and which roles are
no longer neede in an Agile environment;
4. Discover how to employ Agile tools and processes in
solving problems within complex environments;
5. Discover what productivity gains are possible and
how to measure improvements in an Agile
environment;
6. Prepare for Agile certifications such as the PSM or
PMI-ACP.

Faculty
Tarun is a seasoned IT entrepreneur, consultant, and
educator. A bona fide polymath and philomath, he has nearly
15 years of combined professional experience. After
attending the University of Chicago (majoring in Biology) and
graduating from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign
with a degree in Math and Computer Science, he worked as a
software professional and consultant for six years prior to
matriculating at graduate school. During that time, he
squeezed in a BBA degree in Accounting and Ecommerce
while working as a software engineer at Concentra.
As a consultant, he was a project lead on over a dozen
projects spanning the manufacturing, healthcare, oil & gas,
internet, banking & finance, and education verticals. His
experience included projects at Fortune 500 and Global 1000
companies such as GE Medical Systems, BP Amoco, and
William Blair.
In addition to consulting, he has worked part-time as a
corporate trainer and obtained certifications in Java (SCJP,
SCJD) and Microsoft technologies (MCP+SiteBuilding). He
has certifications in CIO, eCommerce, Data Warehousing and
Business Intelligence.
