10 astonishing lessons we learn from Psalm 27 Excerpts from www.becommingchristians.com
Apart from Psalm 23 and Psalm 91, Psalm 27 is probably one of the most
popular psalms in the Bible. It is a psalm that declares God’s faithfulness.
Through Psalm 27, King David wrote about his confidence and trust in God.
Psalm 27 is such a wonderful passage that it allows us to see God’s divine
providence and protection to His people through the poetic and beautiful
writing of King David.
Lesson no. 9: God will never forsake us
God’s love is unending and unconditional. It is such a wonderful assurance for us
that no matter what happens, God will never forsake us nor leave us. REPORT THIS AD
We read in verses 9-10:
Do not leave me nor forsake me,
O God of my salvation.
When my father and my mother forsake me,
Then the Lord will take care of me.
Even if our parents, the closest people in our life, would leave us, God would
still take care of us. He will find a way that you and I will be sustained,
nourished, and well taken care of.
God’s love is greater than the love of our parents. While there’s no indication
that David was abandoned by his parents, if it ever happens, David knew that he
can still survive as long as God is with him.
When everyone has turned their back on you, know that God is still there for
you.
You can have the confidence that He who has begun a good work in you will
complete it until the day of Jesus Christ (Philippians 1:6).
