They are gangs or youth gangs who wear similar clothes, who have common habits and gather in the same places. The pleasure of being part of the band comes from the requirement to adapt, the price of a painful psychic tension, an adult or social universe and its rules of thought and behavior. Following

WHAT ARE THEY?

In addition, the band offers its members the security and emotional support which they lack. The band authorizes activities that are not within the limits of moral and social rules: gambling, drinking, erotic license, the scandal in public, destruction of objects. However, the activities carried out are not presented as the band's essential purpose: the aim is to be together because they are similar.

EMOS-ORIGINThe emos started in the 80s. They come from America´s punk hardcore. Their name

comes from Emotional hardcore music, and one of

the most known groups is My chemical romance.

-APPEARANCEThey have many piercings, use black tight and

shirts, Converse trainers, wristbands and their hair

covers their face.

-ACTIVITIES AND INTERESTSThey are very pessimistics, don´t believe in

religions and they worry for the appearance.

GRUNGERS-ORIGINThe style started in the 90s in Seattle. Grunge means filth and this group

reveals against our communist society.

-APPEARANCEThey wear striped shirts, jeans, darkConverse and in general, a untidy aesthetics.

-ACITIVITIES AND INTERESTSThey love music and they prefergroups like Nirvana or Sperm.

GOTHICS

-ORIGINThey started in the 80s in United Kingdom.

-APPEARANCEThey use black clothes, boots, bracelets

with pricks, wristbands, chains and religious complements as crosses. They have got pale skin.

-ACITIVITIES AND INTERESTSThey love death and the occult. They are

apolitical and usually listen heavy metal.

HEAVIES

-ORIGINThey started in the 70s in England.

Its complete name is Heavy Metal and it means old- fashioned metal.

-APPEARANCEthey wear tight jeans, long hair,

symbols of death or leather jackets.

-ACTIVITIES AND INTERESTSThey love music, cannabis,

concerts and they aren’t violent. Their favorite music is Heavy Metal.

HIPPIES

-ORIGINThey started in the 60s for injustices ofVietnam´ War.

-APPEAREANCEThey have got long hair, they wear

eye-catching clothes, ponchos, hair´s

strips and many other things...

-ACTIVITIES AND INTERESTSThey love living in peace, consuming

drugs and drinks. They are anarchists and they like rock or pop.

PUNKS

-ORIGINThey appeared in England during

1976- 1977. They created THEIRown music style y they are very violent.

-APPEARANCEThey wear eye-catching Mohawk

haircut, leather jacket, tatoos, militaries boots and straps with prickle.

-ACTIVITIES AND INTERESTSTheir ideology is anarchist and they

focus on the violence and their appearance.
