POSITIVE RESULTS OF FTPP-I

1- Central Asia Regional Programme for Fisheries and Aquaculture Development-FishDev ProjectMain output: The Central Asian and Caucasus Regional Fisheries and Aquaculture Commission (CACFish) is established,

2- Seed Sector Development in Countries of Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO)Main output: A Regional Seed Strategy and a regional seed agremenet are formed,

3- ECO Regional Centre for Food Security (ECO RCC FS)Main output: ECO Regional Centre for Food Security is established.

4- Cattle Production Improvement in Central Asia Countries Main output: Cattle Producer´s Associations were established and equipment for animal feed producing were supplied to project beneficiaries

SUCCESSFUL PROJECTS UNDER FTPP-I

Second Phase of FTPP Signed in 04 June 2014

For another 5 Year period;

20 Million USD contribution by;

Ministry of Food Agriculture and Livestock

Ministry of Forest and Water Affairs

Grand National Assembly of Turkey approval procedure is still continuing

The new contrubition of TurkeyIntended to;

Support to the region,Extend FTPP to the other countries out of the region,Possess more strong Sub-Office with new recruitments

Turkey is again ready to cooperate with the countries;

Share experience, expertise and technology47 Research Institutes and StationsKonya Drought Test CenterInternational Agricultural Research and Training

Centers

FTPP II-Expectations

To focus on;

High budget projects with concrete and effective outputs,

Avoiding repetition of the projects,More collaboration between partners of the

projects,Increase of projects including food security,Increase of projects including capacity

building of the countries,

FTPP II-Expectations

Prepare according to the common priorities and make need assessments,

Fulfill the close monitoring of the projects by nominating experts,

Enhance to solve trans-boundary issues,Provide more experienced international

experts to be available in the projects,Use effectively the lessons learned by FTPP-

I, e.g. Bureucracy and ratification period must be shorten and pre-approval may be recieved.
