STUDENTS NEED TRAINING

• Students need to be shown how to view grademark. An in- class demonstration is recommended.

• Viewing Instructor Feedback in GradeMark If the class instructor provided feedback on the assignment within GradeMark, students are able to view the feedback after the Post Date of the assignment. When the Post Date passes, students are able to access the instructor feedback within GradeMark by clicking on the blue 'View' button.

CREATING A RUBRIC

+ 1. Select rubric icon+ 2. Select Rubric Manger (spanner)+ 3. Click on menu icon+ 4. Set criterion weights. Give titles &

descriptions. Must add up to 100% + 5. Set number of points for each scale &

GRADING WITH RUBRICS

+ 1. Locate student’s work+ 2. Click on pencil icon + 3. Select rubric icon+ 4. Click on rubric manager & then menu

icon+ 5. Click on chain icon & attach desired

view marking criteria

IMPORTANT POINTS!

• Students can only see GradeMark comments after the due date when you set up your turnitin assignments

• With rubrics it is important to have a wide range of marks, for grading accuracy

• A rubric must have a 100% setting• An occasional student clicks on GradeMark and

nothing opens, usually a settings problem with the students’ laptop. Pop ups?
