The Interfaith of The Woodlands Service Project
OBJECTIVES ! Implement a project with a significant IMPACT to the local
Community and the boys of TWHS Boys Soccer Program in collaboration with Interfaith of The Woodlands
! Promote the culture of Community Service among the boys of TWHS Boys Soccer Program through a project or projects that are not only fun but meaningful
! Working with people at Interfaith of The Woodlands who have a tremendous experience and expertise working in Community Service Projects in our own community. The modules of the project have a combination of one-time events and ongoing participation events.
! The President of Interfaith of The Woodlands has agreed to extend a letter to ALL participating boys in the Service Project that can be used for their Community Service curriculum when applying for college.
DESCRIPTION
The Interfaith of The Woodlands Service Project consists of 6 modules or subprojects that offer the following:
! The possibility to Choose more than one activity to allow for more flexibility in terms of dates and number of soccer boys participating.
! Different options for the boys to choose the kind of project they would like to participate in, knowing that they may have different preferences and also that some activities do not allow for a large number of participants.
! The possibility to reach more people in the community.
! The possibility to have not only one time events but also ongoing activities.

LE TOUR DE WOODLANDS
Participate: • Volunteering for the race
day organization activities (no charge)
• Racing to support the cause ($15 special group price for TWHS Boys Soccer Program)
Purpose : Promote outdoor activities and healthy living practices within our community.
FOOD DRIVE
Each Food Drive helps Interfaith´s of The Woodlands Food Pantry increase its supply of food given to families in need in our community. HOW ? • Select the type of food • Select the date • Create a flyer • Distribute flyers in neighborhood
with a designated date for pick up

Woodlands by a group of boys
HOLIDAY GIVING
Provide families, children and Seniors with gifts and food to make their Holiday Season special. • Adopt-A-Family • Toy drive • Gifts for Seniors
FOOD PANTRY
The Food Pantry is available to individuals and families who need assistance. Donations are always needed and appreciated in many forms: Financial contributions, non-perishable food, infant products, personal hygiene items, paper products and cleaning supplies. HOW ? • Organize and stock shelves • Organize sack donations • Pick up donations from various

VEGGIE VILLAGE
HARVEST & DISTRIBUTION • Harvest, weigh, package and deliver the day’s
produce for distribution. H&D is every Tuesday and Saturday, October-June.
• Distribution at senior living complexes with the opportunity to interact with residents allowing for a moment of joy a caring.
Together we work to produce fresh food, using organic and sustainable gardening practices, for the Interfaith Food Pantry
SOS
SERVING OUR SENIORS SOS is a day of service to assist seniors with yard work, minor home repair and light housekeeping in a safe environment supervised by adults at all times.
