An arrest warrant has been issued for Lyle Marvin “Ty” Hoffman in connection

with the August 11, 2014 murder of Kelly Phillips in Arden Hills, Minnesota.

Phillips, Vice President and General Counsel for Boston Scientific, was shotthree times and killed in a gas station parking lot. Investigators have identified

Hoffman, Phillips’ former business partner, as the shooter.

Hoffman is also suspected of robbing a bank in Blaine, Minnesota on August

31. During the bank robbery, a handgun was displayed. Since both crimesinvolved the use a handgun, Hoffman is considered armed and dangerous.

Hoffman has been sighted multiple times in the Twin Cities area. He hastraveled extensively within the Unites States, Canada, and Mexico; andmentioned visiting Belize. He is known to gamble and enjoys playing blackjackin Las Vegas and local casinos. He is known to gravitate toward gay

communities in the places he visits.

A reward up to $25,000 is offered for any information leading to the arrest andconviction of Hoffman. If seen, avoid contact and call 9-1-1. To share any
