Six standout student athletes from the University of Minnesota - including Farmington's own Kaitlin Mincke - were on scene at Meadowview Elementary on Friday, December 9. The athletes worked with students in grades 3, 4 and 5 shared and energetic and interactive presentation with students regarding healthy lifestyles, nutrition, school/sports balance and more.

Gopher student-athletes led a lively “Q and A” with students at grades 3, 4 and 5 at the school

Farmington alumni and Gopher track/cross country athlete Kaitlin Mincke was one of the featured students.

Gopher student-athletes stressed the importance of balance between sports and school.

The gym at Meadowview is a also reminder to students of the benefits of living an active lifestyle.

Track athlete Kevin Bradley led an activity to show students how to take their pulse.

Students took a resting pulse and then later did 30 seconds of jumping jacks and checked it again.

Thanks to the University of Minnesota student-athletes for being a positive role model for Farmington students!
