Mission

A multi-agency, county-wide initiative committed to changing human behavior and improving public safety on and around highway-rail grade crossings and railroad property through public education, enforcement and engineering.

Objectives

Heightened community awareness of the dangers associated with making poor decisions on and around railroad property and equipment.

Increased enforcement of state statues and laws as they relate to trespassing on railroad property and highway-rail grade crossing behavior.

Demonstrate the effectiveness of engineering safer crossings.

Enhanced rail safety training for law enforcement officers/first responders.

Install additional no trespassing signage and barricades at key locations
