What is the Peace Corps?
A U.S. Government Agency, independent of the State Department, that sends American citizens overseas to work as volunteers in international development assignments for 27 MONTHS.

Volunteers Serve in the Peace Corps to:
• Living allowance
• Language, cross-cultural, health, safetyand technical training

• Possible student loan defermentand/or partial cancellation

• $7,425 “readjustment”allowance upon completion of service

• BA/BS in Secondary Education, or
• State certification at the secondary level, or
• BA/BS in any subject with at least 3 months of ESL Tutoring or Teaching Experience
