• Start with third party Linux based client z50D or Windows based platforms that support deployment of VDI only with HDX/ICA & PCoIP for initial deployment before adding UC.

- The base image will be upgraded as part of the package, if required
- The VXME Addon, as well as any other addons, will also be updated as part of the installation updates
• NOTE: Upgrades are only supported via the management administrative methods supported for the device.

Cisco Jabber with VXME
• Cisco Jabber is the Cisco UC Client to be installed on the User HVD. The installation can accomplished one of two ways:
- Manual Installation
• VXME_Utilities
• CiscoJabberSetup
- Automatic Installation
• MSI installation of JabberSetup.msi and VXMEUtilities.msi
• NO Manual Registry Key settings needed!!
• Note: In a future Cisco Jabber release, there will be a single Cisco Jabber download available from cisco.com that will be all inclusive. There will be no need to install any additional utilities.

Cisco Jabber with VXME
• Create a new Client Services Framework device on Unified CM (Example device name would be VXC<username>, could be any device name convention desired).
• The end user (username) must have the following groups in it's permissions information: - Standard CTI Allow Call Park Monitoring
- Standard CTI Allow Control of Phones supporting Connected Xfer and conf
- Standard CTI Allow Control of Phones supporting Rollover Mode
- Standard CTI Enabled
• The end user must be associated with the line appearance - This is needed to allow the appropriate CCMCIP profile information to be associated for the correct device association

• AnyConnect VPN allows the device to configure the AnyConnect VPN parameters for thinuser, and allows for user OTP to login and have all traffic connect securely.

Cisco Jabber with VXME
• Cisco Virtualization Experience Media Engine installed on thin client or PC
• Cisco Jabber installed on the hosted virtual desktop (HVD)
• Each user should have only one Client Services Framework (CSF) device.
– If multiple CSF devices exist for a user, Cisco Virtualization Experience Media Engine selects the first device in the alphabetical list.
– A CSF device user can register with Unified CM from only one client at a time. Multiple registrations from multiple clients with the same CSF device are not supported.
• Computer Telephony Integration (CTI) protocol must be enabled for all virtual Cisco Jabber users.

Accessories
High-definition video (720p at 30 fps) requires Logitech Webcam C920-C
designed for Cisco, which has built-in video processing capabilities.
With a different camera, video output is limited to 360p maximum.
