Objective

SME competitivity increase and facilititation to

international markets access, through Export Consortia, with UNIDO Methodology, looking forward for sinergies between EU aid programs in Peru. Local Counterparts: Lima Chamber of Commerce and Peru Chambers, representing the peruvian private sector, Hand Craft and Tourism National Technological Innovation Centers Network, Export Commerce and Tourism Ministry and the Italian International Commerce Institute in Peru.

Programm Brief:

We have four components:1. Export consortia (EC) programm sustained in local private

institutions (Chambers of Commerce)2. Support export consortia members in their competitivity

increase3. Synergy between programm members, in benefit for the EC

development4. New EC in priorized territories, giving priority to rural sectors

with excluded population and high ratios of poors.

In Process:

We are working with very interesting groups, with potential in EC, with the local Chambers of Commerce and different private and public institutions in the territories:

- Cajamarca: Milk products, Tourism, Aromatic and Organic Herbs, Agro Producers Associations

- Huánuco: Handcraft - Chanchamayo (Junín): Food Industry (Motive Products), Tourism

and Acquaculture - In Huancayo we are coordinating with CARITAS Perú, to work

together with two proyects financed by the Italo- Peruvian Fund: Artichokes and Processed Andeans Grains

- In Cusco we are working with the Italian International Commerce Institute (ICE), in a Technological Mission to Vicenza, Italy in February 2011 for our Cusco EC Jewelers.
