What is health?Health is the general condition of person’s mind and body.

What is personal development?• As our bodies grow, our personality also develops.

• It is important to be positive and express our feelings and emotions.• We must never use violence or agression to

resolve a conflict.

• As we learn to respect people, we grow as people.

What is in food?Food contains the nutrients we need to live.

Food contains a lot of carbohydrates, fats and proteins. It contains much smaller amounts of vitamins and minerals.

What do nutrients do?Nutrients have many different functions in our body.

Carbohydrates and fats are the fuels that our body burns to get the energy it needs. For example, to study and to run.

Proteins build and repair body structures. For example, they grow new skin and clean blood.
