Admission forms can be obtained either from individual colleges or Central pre-admission form centres designated by University
Candidate may use one central pre-admission form to choose from as many colleges as desired
Centralised forms are scanned at the University and the data is transmitted to the colleges

• UNDERGRADUATE Students belonging to the SC/ST /Physical challenged categories
central registration is done at the University
University prepares merit list of eligible candidates and assigns them to different colleges
Colleges admit students in accordance with fixed quotas of 15%, 7.5% & 3% respectively
In case of physically challenged, candidates have to undergo a medical examination conducted by University Health Cenre (WUS)

• Aim is to develop research programmes on the genetic engineering of crop plants
• Main thrust is on developing molecular methods for heterosis breeding and on developing transgenic crops that are resistant to biotic stresses.

DELHI UNIVERSITY COMPUTER CENTRE
• Established in the mid 1960’s to cater to the computing requirements of the University of Delhi
• Is responsible for running and maintaining of the University computer network which provides Gigabit connectivity over a fibre optic backbone to all departments, campus colleges and postgraduate hostels of the University

SP JAIN CENTRE FOR ADVANCED MANAGEMENT RESEARCH
• Established under the Faculty of Management Studies in 1982
• Promotes management research, education and training of managers , executives and management teachers
UNIVERSITY SCIENCE AND INSTRUMENTATION CENTRE
• USIC has a number of sophisticated research instruments which are used by several departments of the University

EXCHANGE PROGRAMMES• Established trans-continental relationships with some well-known universities around the world
• Tradition of academic excellence, intercultural environment and commitment to internationalization
• Attracts the largest number of international students of universities in India
• Series of international protocols with 15 universities have been implemented (University of California, University of Heidelberg)
INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMS
FOREIGN STUDENTS• At present about 15,00 foreign students from 60 different countries enrolled in the university
• 5% reservation for foreign students in all the non-professional courses of the University
• The admission of foreign students to Medical and Engineering Colleges is done through the Ministry of External Affairs, and to the BPharma and MBA courses through Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India

Regular subscription to about 2,000 journals. Approximately 4,000 journals are available online
Over 13,000 PhD theses
Over 13,000 Mphil Dissertations
Nearly 700 manuscripts, of which Sanskrit and Persian account for 480 & 153 respectively
