Driscoll Middle School Vocational Visit in December
Tedra Hunt with T&T Construction hosted the Driscoll Middle School students in December. Tedra brought a unique perspective from the construction industry for the students. During her three presentations for student education, it was obvious the students were surprised that a woman could own and manage a construction company. Tedra’s formal teacher education was on full display as she connected with the students during all three of the presentations.
The next Wednesday, T&T Construction hosted about 20 students at their Taft construction yard. When the students arrived, they were offered juice and cookies -which were eagerly consumed.
The office staff gave a brief summary of their jobs and then the students were taken out to the equipment.
The students had a wonderful hands-one experiences and all of them got an opportunity to sit in the operator seat and move a little dirt!
Thank you Tedra for educating these students on the construction industry!
Please tell Robert Cagle if you would like to share your vocation with students from Driscoll Middle School.
