Lake Victoria Lake Victoria We have a project location identified on the shores of Lake Victoria, where rivers have dried up as a result of deforestation, resulting in the lake level dropping 1,5 meters in the last decade.
It is intended to start a regional intervention from this location that would involve Tanzania and Uganda.
Gulley erosion around the lake as a result of environmental degradation is becoming more frequent and increasingly damaging, as seen in this photograph taken in the Homa Bay area.
Our nitrogen fixing trees are perfectly suited to restoring and stabilizing degraded soils .
