Step Two:Plan your story

Who? (Who is it about? What person or thing is shown in the photo you found?)

What? (What happened to that person or thing?)Where? (Where did it happen?)When? (When did it occur?)Why? (Why did this happen? What could explain

it?)How? (How did people find out about it?)

Step Three: Write the first paragraph of the news story State who (or what thing) the news story is about, and

when and where it happened.

Step Four:Write the rest

The other paragraphs should answer

Why? and How?By including quotations from eyewitnesses, it will make your story authentic (“real”).
