2011 is a great year, first inOPerabLe is given the Urban Art Award for best European gallery, and then we release the second version of our very popular Urban Guide. And to top it off, we are celebrating our 5 year Anniversary! In 2009 we released the first version to a very welcoming audience. The guides disappeared from stands faster than we could get them out! We were asked many times when the next version would be released, and we are proud to say “Here they are!”
The original idea of these guides was to give outsiders an insiders perspective of our city. This guide will help you find the best spots to eat, shop, chill, or see some live music and we’re not talking about Operas or Coffee houses. We have also listed legal places where you can paint Graffiti or just have a walk and see some amazing art works.
In this era of smart phones and apps consider this your i-NOPERAbLE guide 2.0. We wanted to make this guide available to everyone, which is why we strongly opted for making a printed guide as opposed to a touch screen, uploadable one. Call us behind the times if you want, but I can honestly say I rarely use my phone in a foreign city.
The term Urban is different for everyone, but after running inOPerabLe Gallery since 2006, we have gotten a pretty good idea of what places fall into the category. Need a tattoo? Some new bike Parts? A special color of spraypaint? Or a damn good Burrito? We have it all listed here in our Guide2.0 for you. So continue reading and enjoy exploring the city of Vienna…
