Example of Repetition Drill :

Teacher: "Hi, Mark. How's it going?......(repeat)

Students: "Hi, Mark. How's it going

RESEARCH METHOD

The writer used Classroom Action Research (CAR)

The design of CAR according to Carr & Kemmis :

RESEARCH SETTING

Location : MTs Satu Atap Hidayatul Athfal Serang

Subject : 27 Students at grade VII C

Object : Teaching pronunciation in speaking class

using repetition drill method

Observation

The writer as the teacher interacts with the students

and observes their pronunciation.

1 and cycle 2.

TECHNIQUE FOR ANALYZING DATA

To analyze the data of this research, the writer used

two formulas :

CONCLUSION

Based on the writer’s observation, repetition drill has

been successfully improving the students’

pronunciation. It can be measured that the students

could improve their pronunciation mean score more

than 75, that it was criterion for CAR success. Thus, the

implementation of repetition drills in improving the

students’ pronunciation, especially at VII C of MTs

Satu Atap Hidayatul Athfal Serang is successful.
