Samaira Sandhu, whose realname is Anmol Sandhu, wasback in city for a break onThursday. With a debut in theTamil film Dhayam, Samairashared her nostalgia of daysspent in Chandigarh. Born inFerozepur, the actress complet-ed her schooling from Chandi-garh, subsequently graduatingin software engineering andMBA, and working with an MNC.Before she ventured into Tolly-wood, last year Samaira did a music

video on thesong Sohn Rabb Di Main by Jaspin-der Narula.

"Chandigarh stands apart in sev-eral ways from all the other cities Ihave been to," she told us, "It's somuch more beautiful, clean andpeaceful than any other city in In-dia." Recalling her trips toSukhna Lake, Sector 17 and gerison the wide roads, Samaira addedthat her passion for fitness wasalso indulged by this city.

"I am a fitness freak. I do Zum-ba, other dances and Crossfittraining to keep fit," she said. "I

am also a foodie so all the morereason that exercise is very impor-tant for me. I have a fetish forgrilled fish and home cooked food,"

After Dhayam, "My next is a Tel-ugu film Damayanthi," saidSamaira who is a self-confessed fanof Aamir Khan and Madhuri DixitNene and has been dancing to theirsongs since childhood.

Besides acting, and also being anauthor, Samaira is working as anassistant director in an upcomingHindi film starring Sharman Joshi.Her take on Punjabi cinema? "I amopen to a Punjabi film too, providedit's a good offer," she added.
