A 69-year-old man presented to the wound clinic with recurrent venous leg wounds overlying the left medial malleolus. He had a history of venous insufficiency with lower extremity edema. He discontinued wearing his compression stockings and developed another

venous ulceration. This was present three weeks prior to presenting to the wound clinic. The wounds were cleansed and irrigated with Puracyn® Plus Professional Formula Wound Irrigation Solution. Devitalized tissue was removed with sharp debridement. The

wounds were dressed with sterile gauze soaked in Puracyn Plus, followed by a compression dressing. This treatment regime was performed twice weekly until discharge. The patient then returned to his compression stockings.
