WHAT does the software do?

- Allows you to record everything you do on the

screen, along with a voice-over and/or image

of instructor.

- It records the desktop on which you have

placed the essay in either Word or PDF.

- Converts the recorded file into various formats

depending on the output capacity i.e. email,

flashdisk, Facebook, website, cd/dvd

wider coverage & no technology hurdles for students

Hurdles to Overcome• competent usage of software• funding for Camtasia $179 education

licence (Screentoaster, Faststone, BBFlashback,

Camstudio, Captivate, Fraps, Hypercam: none as good or as easy to use as Camtasia)

• potential system conflicts (Mac versus Windows, Office 2007 versus 2003, PDF, RaR decompression AVi-MP4-Slow upload times etc)

• Potential students as “Luddites” (rare)
