folder will be sent home at different times and will have specific work to practice at home. There may be books that we have made that will need to come back to school for us to use in the classroom.
Grades*Beginning of the year assessments and first report card will be discussed at Parent/Teacher Conferences on Monday, October 10. * Grades are determined by performance on classroom assessments and learning activities. Your child will be given numeral grades. Explanation of grades can be found on the BISD website under “Students & Families, Handbooks. Elementary Handbook, pages 36-38”.

You are welcome to join your child for lunch. There is a special table for you and your child to enjoy lunch together.

Day will be Monday, October 10th. If at any time throughout the
school year you would like to meet, please schedule a time with
me during my conference time
(9:45-10:40) or after school.
DismissalIt is best to stay
consistent with how your child will be
getting home each day; however, we
understand that things may change. If they do,
please let us know by sending a note to
school with your child.
Support Learning at
Home Read to and with your
children. Recognize all upper
and lower case letters
Identify letter sounds Read 100 sight words Count to 100 by 1’s
and 10’s. Count backwards from 20.
Recognize and write numbers 0-20.
Recall number order to 100.
Recognize the coins: penny, nickel, dime & quarter
Write a complete sentence.
