Vipassana and Meditation

Vipassana and Happiness

Disclosure: I am not religious

Happiness = State of Mind?

But my mind is a monkey!

“Whoever said money can’t buy happiness, simply didn’t know

where to shop”

OR

“Anybody who thinks money will make you happy, hasn't got money.”

“Peace and happiness comes from within. Do not seek it without”- Buddha

“If you want to be happy, be.” - Confucius

“Watch your thoughts, for they become words… Actions > Habits > Character > Destiny”

“What is the goal of meditation?” Relaxation? Concentration? Connecting to God?

Vipassana Meditation: Purification of mind

What exactly is purification of mind?

Let’s take an example of ANGER!

How do we react or act?

1. Any encounter with our senses

2. Our own evaluation

3. Sensation

4. Reaction or Conscious Action?

Vipassana is one of India's most ancient techniques of meditation. It was rediscovered

by Buddha more than 2500 years ago

Vipassana is a way of self-transformation through self-observation.

It focuses on the deep interconnection between mind and body, which can be experienced

directly by disciplined attention to the physical sensations that form the life of the body.

The scientific laws that operate one's thoughts, feelings, judgements and sensations become clear.

Through direct experience, the nature of how one grows or regresses, how one produces suffering

or frees oneself from suffering is understood.

FINAL OUTCOME: Life becomes characterized by

increased awareness, non-delusion, self-control, peace and love.

Let’s destroy the myths and fears

Vipassana: Non-sectarian Experiential Self Discovery Healing Happiness
