Have no layers preventing exchange of mass or energy, anything can go in and out.

Closed System*

Have layers preventing the exchange of mass or energy, everything stays within it.

WE LEARNED EARLIER THIS YEAR THAT METEOR/ASTEROID BOMBARDMENT HELPED CREATE OUR ROCKY PLANETS CLOSEST TO THE SUN.

The movie we saw earlier this year showed how these space rocks contain ingredients necessary for life (contained water)

We thought we saw water on Mars here, but these are just some bluish rocks.
