Bodies of water

The province has three fresh-water lakes, namely: Lake Bato, Lake Buhi and Lake Baao which has an areas of 5,482 has. 

Lake Buhi is a lake found in the town of Buhi, Camarines Sur, a province located in the Bicol Region of Luzon. It has an area of 18 square kilometres and has an average depth of 8 meters. The lake lays in the valley formed by

two ancient volcanoes, Mount Iriga and Mount Malimas

Lake Buhi is famous since it is one of the few

bodies of water that contains

the Sinarapan (Mistichthys luzonensis) which is

recorded in the Guiness World Record as the

world's smallest commercial

fish. Sinarapan measures only around 2.1 - 2.4 mm long or smaller than a ten

centavo coin. The name Sinarapan came from the word "sarap" which refers to the fine

net used for fishing.

Lake Bato is a freshwater lake and the 7th largest in the Philippines. It

is located in the town of Bato, approximately 9 km southwest

of Iriga City Camarines Sur Province,

Southeastern Luzon Philippines. It has extensive marshes and swamp

forests. The lake drains into a tributary of the Bicol River which

enters the sea near Naga City. Average depth is 8m, and the

bottom is muddy clay.

It has an estimated surface area of 177 hectares

(1.77 km²) and reaches an average of only 1 meter deep. The lake is fed by local run-off and several

small rivers, the most important of which is

the Tabao River, which flows from another

lake, Lake Buhi The water from the lake then drains west into the Bicol River.

Found in sorsogon.It lies at the heart

of Bulusan Volcano National Park which covers a land area of

3,672 hectares. It has an elevation of 360 meters

and is located on the southeast flank of Mount Bulusan, an active volcano

Bicol River is the eight largest river in the Philippines in terms

of drainage basin size with an estimated catchment area of

3,770 km

Malaconini River is a stream and is located in Siruma Camarines Sur, Bicol, Philippines. The

Camarines Sur: Hiwacloy Stream

Hiwacloy Stream is located at the foot of Mount

Isarog National Park within the jurisdiction of the

town of Goa in Camarines Sur, Philippines. It’s a 10-

hour ride by land from the capital city.

Naglaus Underground River is

another natural formation in the

town of Jovellar in the province of

Albay, which is a largely unexplored underground river 300 meters long. A

bamboo craft is used to navigate the tunneled river.

Busay Falls - one of the highest in the country, it cascades down in seven

tiers from a height of 800 feet into two catchbasins.
