I’m guessing this picture can be used to illustrate some form of root weathering. As you can see a large root of the tree has come out from beneath, splitting the ground in two levels (one is higher than the other).

The picture on the top left is of a cement pole which rests within the stream. This pole depicts rusting that has occurred overtime due to the stream’s salty water.

This picture here also shows rusting of steel

Here, there are different layers of minerals and rocks. This can be seen as water has dried up and left this part under the bridge quite muddy. Sediments have been deposited all around the area. Ripple marks and cross bedding can also be seen.

I took this picture of the only bridge we have here in Firebaugh. Its less than a mile long . The old bridge was torn down and replaced with this one only a few decades ago. It was better elevated and structured to better improve transportation across it. Due to high floods from the San Joaquin River, this bridge was made stronger and higher.
