WE Day!!

The Power to Make a

Change Lies Within All of

Us

Last Thursday, we took a long bus ride to Vancouver for We Day.

On Friday we went to Rogers Arena, where the Canucks play.

There were students from all over BC...

Over 18 000 of us!!

We listened to some cool music...

and saw some amazing and famous speakers, like Kofi Annan and

Martin Luther King III.

We even got another chance to see Spencer West speak and inspire us.

One of our favourite parts was listening to Molly Burke, Vishal Vijay and Hannah Alper, who showed us that

kids, just like us, can make a difference.

Mark and Craig Keilburger were there, and they are the ones who started Free the Children – a group of kids from around

the world, helping other kids around the world.

We learned that we are the leaders of today and we can make a difference to help our community and the world be a better

place.
